An LED strip light is typically half an inch (10-12 mm) in width, and up to 16 feet (5 meters) or more in length. They can be cut to specific lengths using just a pair of scissors along the cutlines, located every 1-2 inches.
Individual LEDs are mounted along the strip, typically at densities of 18-36 LEDs per foot (60-120 per meter). The light color and quality of the individual LEDs determine the overall light color and quality of the LED strip.
The backside of the LED strip includes pre-applied double-sided adhesive. Simply peel off the liner, and mount the LED strip to virtually any surface. Because the circuitboard is designed to be flexible, LED strips can be mounted on curved and uneven surfaces.

This strip worked great for the project I needed it for. I needed a narrow strip for space limitations. The led's are very bright, dim-able. Its got pigtail wires on both ends so you can get at least 2 separate runs off the roll. But , the section I had left over in the middle was unusable because I couldn't get solder to stick to the strip contact points to add pigtails and I don't see connectors available anywhere for this size strip. It comes with one 2.1mm standard jack on 1 set of the pigtails, it would be nice if the included a 2nd one for the other set of pigtails. The adhesive strip did not work well for me but that could be because of the surface I needed to stick it to. It was a being adhered to a hard rubber seal, it stuck enough to put in place but I had to dab a little superglue every few inches to make sure it stayed there.
