Using 65W Adapter instead of 90W adpater will raise any problems

I am using Hp G62-361TX notebook . Can i use 65W adapter for my notebook instead of 90W adapter for charing ?

Look on the bottom of the laptop maybe under the battery for the Volts and Amps.

I know that my Grandson purchased a higher capacity battery for his laptop (DV) and his charger/adapter would not work charging the new battery. He solved this by buying the 90Watt adapter that was for use with the higher capacity battery and his laptop. His symptom was that with the higher batter in laptop, it would not power up. remove battery and run off the adapter/charger work fine. Apparently lower wattage adapter couldn't "do" both, charge and run...

You need to use a 90watt adapter for that laptop.

Volts x Amps = Watts

Battery may not charge and it will over heat the adapter.

You can us a 90watt or 120watt adapter but not the 65watt.
