This machine feels sturdy and is also a little heavy. I have used it extensively these few weeks and it has been able to produce great paper die cuts with all kinds of cutting dies (I have only used it for paper) ' this includes cutting dies from other brands. I have had no problem with very intricate cutting dies. Using embossing folders is a little tricky when using other brand folders, but not impossible. After extensive usage, the cutting plates are severely scarred and one of them is excessively curved but still usable. I am also rather happy to have gotten the 'starter' set so as to been able to see what the original cutting dies, embossing folders and Bigz dies look like as these products are not readily available here and I have to buy other brands, then make a comparison. Overall, although expensive, it has proven itself to be worth the price.
